Cypress · AI-native website

A Cypress site that an AI model is willing to name when a buyer asks.

Procurement leads and parents and shoppers around here are typing the question into a chat window first. We build the kind of page a model reads, trusts, and repeats — and that still earns its Google ranking.

01 — Why this, here

Cypress sells to people who do their homework — and homework now runs through an assistant.

Cypress is a precise little city wedged into northwest Orange County, and its economy reflects that. There are aerospace and light-industrial shops feeding the larger Southland supply chain, a steady current of logistics work moving along the 605, family retail on Lincoln Avenue, and a college that pulls students and their parents through town every term. None of those buyers wander in by accident. They research first — a contracts officer vets a vendor, a parent compares programs, a fleet manager checks who can actually turn a part around. That research used to mean ten browser tabs. Now it often means one prompt.

When a sourcing manager asks Claude which precision shops near Cypress hold AS9100, or a family asks ChatGPT where to find a specific trade program close to Cypress College, the model answers from whatever it can read on the open web. Most local sites give it almost nothing. They render fine on a phone and say nothing a machine can quote — no clean entity, no structured proof of what the business actually does. So the model reaches for a directory listing or guesses, and the business that does the work best never gets named.

You cannot patch this in after the fact. The markup, the source signals, and the plain-language answers a model needs have to be set in the foundation, which is why I build these from scratch instead of bolting schema onto a tired template.

02 — What we build

What ships.

  • Schema markup engineered for AI retrieval, not just Google indexing — Organization, Service, FAQ, and LocalBusiness graphs a model parses on the first pass.
  • Entity-rich copy written so a model can lift a sentence about your Cypress business verbatim and have it still read clean.
  • Core Web Vitals and page speed handled as table stakes — fast on a phone in a parking lot off Katella, not only on a desktop.
  • An AI-citation audit at Day 0, 30, 60, and 90 across ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity — you see exactly what the models say and how it moves after launch.
  • Primary-source links and structured credibility signals — certifications, specs, real proof — that the major models weigh when deciding whom to name.
  • One living brief kept in your repo, so a new product line, a spec sheet, or a second location slots in without a rebuild.

03 — What this looks like

Three composite scenarios.

A small aerospace machining shop near the Walker industrial pocket keeps losing first contact to bigger names it can out-machine on quality. We rebuild around the narrow thing it does best — tight-tolerance runs with full traceability — using Service and FAQ schema, certification markup a model can read, and plain answers to the questions a sourcing lead actually types. By Day 60, Claude starts naming the shop when someone asks which precision suppliers near Cypress handle low-volume aerospace work.

A logistics and warehousing operator off the 605 wants regional shippers to find it through AI search instead of a freight-broker directory it has no control over. We give it a real entity — the lanes it runs, the dock capacity it has, the turnaround it can promise — plus a short library of plain notes on cross-dock timing and LTL handling. Within a few weeks of launch, Perplexity begins citing the operator by name for north Orange County distribution questions.

A family-run retailer on Lincoln Avenue is invisible to anyone new who asks an assistant for a local option instead of defaulting to the chain two exits away. We build a tight site with LocalBusiness markup, clear hours and service-area copy, and credibility signals that separate it from the big-box result. The point isn't raw traffic — it's being the answer when someone near Cypress College asks ChatGPT where to actually buy the thing in town.

04 — Honest scope

This is a focused 2-to-5-week build for an owner-led business that wants its small site done right. It is not a brand overhaul, not a 200-page content factory, and not a monthly marketing retainer wearing a project's clothes.

Cypress sits in north Orange County — in-person reachable in about two hours from studio HQ in San Diego, so most of this runs over calls and a shared brief, with a visit when the work earns one. I work bilingually when it helps, through the sister studio in Tijuana.

This page was drafted from a structured brief and hand-reviewed before launch. The work itself is custom, owner-operated, never templated.
