They said the highland agave took too long — eight years in the rock and the sun before a single piña was worth cutting. That patience was the punishment. What came out of the still was the reward.
El Castigo is small-batch tequila from the Jalisco highlands: slow-roasted in brick ovens, twice-distilled, rested in charred oak until it earns its color. No shortcuts. No apologies.
